Road Tests

Road skills tests are offered to current Your Driving School students as well as students who have completed their driver's education training at another approved school.

What to Bring to Your Road Test

A Copy of Your Auto Insurance
All Required Documents Listed Below (Printed)

If 25 and older, you will also need to bring:

Your Texas Driver's License with a "B" Restriction
Texas Impact Certificate Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD)

If 18-24 , you will also need to bring:

Your Texas Driver's License with a "B" Restriction
Certificate of completed Adult Course (ADE)
Texas Impact Certificate Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD)

If under 18, you will also need to bring:

Your Texas Learner's License (permit)
Parent/Guardian with a Current Driver's License
32-hours Teen Course Completion Certificate (DE-964 form or parent-taught form certificate)
Verification of Enrollment (VOE) (You can get this form at your high school attendance office.)
Texas Impact Certificate Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD)
Completed 30 Hour Behind-the-Wheel Log

After Passing the Test

You will be given a sealed envelope to take to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to obtain your driver's license. Don't open the envelope. The DPS will not accept an open envelope.
